POSITION SUMMARY The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) combines technical knowledge with sales skills to drive sales growth in assigned regions. The TSE works closely with MCE's sales team to offer our customers high quality products, and value-added solutions, educating them on the latest industry trends and technologies and becoming a long-term partner in their products and services. Essential Duties
Responsible for the growth and performance of "Tech Products" (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Filtration, Lubrication and Engineered Systems) within assigned Regions. Drive growth through owned accounts and the local sales team. Develops growth plan and strategy for "Tech Products." Develops account sales plan by working closely with the sales team. Develops fluid power and electrical system designs as well as estimating costs by working closely with the engineering team. Assist the sales team with value added solutions proposals and presentations. Supports fluid power and electrical systems in the field. Supports inside and outside sales teams with technical products and solutions. Develops technical product and solution sales training by working closely with the Regional Sales Managers. Participates in sales calls in assigned region. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Industrial sales experience. Working knowledge of PLC's and motion controllers. Significant expertise in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Filtration, Lubrication, and Engineered Systems. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong time management skills. Persuasive and goal oriented. Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Minimum of an associate degree (AA) in Fluid Power Technology or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills required: ERP, CRM, Inventory Software, Microsoft Office Suite. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements for this position are typical for a sedentary office environment including considerable time spent in a stationary position, at a desk using a computer terminal and keyboard. Movement about the office and standing are required occasionally. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment for this position is typical for an office including protection from weather conditions and typical office equipment noise.
