Job DescriptionThe Wellness Ambassador is a mixed role similar to that of a rehab assistant and an experience curator. The Wellness Ambassador is responsible for curating the patient experience by providing personalized services such as offering drinks, recommending add-ons and hanging coats/jackets. Assists the doctor during treatments by performing basic patient assessments, such as taking vitals and recording medical history and removing needles and EMS pads after therapies. Perform Decompression therapy, EMS and ultrasound therapy (training provided); Monitor patient progress and ensure a smooth flow between therapies. Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits as well as other office cleaning duties, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Patient Preparation and Room Setup: Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked with necessary supplies, and equipment is ready for the planned session. Assist patients into position, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and adjust equipment as needed for each patient according to the prescribed treatment plan. Follow established cleaning and maintenance protocols for all equipment to ensure hygiene and functionality.
- Assisting with Therapeutic Exercises and Modalities: Assist the chiropractor with the application of various therapeutic modalities as directed, such as decompression, EMS and ultrasound therapy.
- Monitoring Patient Comfort and Safety: Continuously monitor patients during therapy sessions, paying close attention to their comfort levels and any signs of discomfort or pain.
- Patient Education and Guidance: Educate patients about the benefits of their prescribed therapies and exercises, explaining the rationale behind the treatment plan.
- Documentation of Patient Progress: Document each session accurately, including the type of therapy, patient response, and any modifications to the treatment plan. Ensure all documentation adheres to clinic policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment rooms, common areas, and equipment storage areas.
- Collaboration and Communication with the Team: Collaborate with the chiropractor and other team members, communicating any concerns or observations regarding patient care.
- Addressing Patient Questions and Concerns: Listen attentively to patient questions and concerns, providing accurate and reassuring information within the scope of practice.
- End-of-Day Closing: Turn off non-essential electronics. Ensure all treatment rooms are sanitized. Set alarm and lock doors.
