Medical Assistant

Grand Villa of Port Charlotte is seeking a dedicated full-time Certified Medical Assistant to support our residents' healthcare needs. Join our compassionate team in providing high-quality medical support and ensuring a comfortable, caring environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient charting, documentation, and medical record management.

  • Support residents with daily health assessments and basic medical procedures.

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked and sanitized.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members regarding medical information.

  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program.

  • Proven experience in a healthcare or assisted living setting preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, charting, and basic clinical procedures.

  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
