Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Requirements:
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
- Proof of current CPR certification
- Current driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation and insurance
- 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Implement non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and modalities as required.
- Accurately document clients' status on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Attend educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services.
- Notify the supervising Physical Therapist or management of equipment failures and client changes.
- Schedule clients and perform various office tasks.
- Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions during patient care activities.
- Promote compliance with all third-party payors through education and assistance as necessary.
