Sampson Regional Medical Center , an independent community hospital, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist to join a growing hospital-owned practice. This opportunity offers the ability to practice broad-based general urology while enjoying autonomy, strong referral support, and a lifestyle-friendly schedule in a welcoming community setting.

This role is ideal for physicians interested in building a practice, shaping service line growth, and working closely with accessible leadership in an independent hospital environment.

Opportunity Snapshot

  • Hospital-employed position

  • 4.5 day clinic schedule

    • Monday–Thursday: 8am–5pm

    • Friday: 8am–12pm

  • Shared call rotation (1:4) 

  • Flexible OR access based on surgical volume and case mix

  • Established regional referral pipeline from hospital-employed primary care network

  • Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and loan repayment available

Position Details

Practice Environment

  • Solo practice with opportunity to grow and shape future program direction

  • Newly remodeled clinic space located adjacent to the hospital

  • Dedicated nurse and receptionist support

  • Potential for APP support as practice expands

  • Close collaboration with surgery, hospitalist, and administrative leadership teams

Clinical Scope

  • Broad-based general urology

  • Kidney stone management

  • Bladder and kidney tumors

  • Incontinence treatment

  • Urinary infections

  • Prostate care

  • Opportunity to develop clinical interests aligned with community needs

  • Full complement of general urology procedural capabilities

  • Access to advanced imaging through hospital-owned Outpatient Diagnostics Center

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

  • Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
