Experienced Dental Assistant

Farber Perio is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant in Hauppauge, New York for a periodontal surgical office to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with specialists and dental hygienists to provide exceptional patient care. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with surgical procedures, taking dental x-rays, intra-oral scans and 3D and oral scans, preparing treatment rooms, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality dental care.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. What we offer:

  • Competitive hourly pay $28Min-$32Max
  • Part time: 24-26 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during implant, laser and other periodontal procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-ray, scans and intra-oral scans
  • Order responsibility for Implant and other surgical material
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist and dental hygienists
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Qualifications
  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program - Preferred
  • 3 years on-the-job-experience - Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
