We are currently seeking a
Press Operator
to join our growing team in a
temp-to-permanent role . This position offers the opportunity to grow with the company and transition into a permanent employee based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
A qualified Press Operator should be able to perform the following tasks:
Operate the offset press efficiently and effectively
Work on offline machines to assist in various printing tasks
Follow production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
Maintain quality control by checking colors, alignment, and print quality
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production processes
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment
Assist in training new team members on press operations
Web press experience preferred, including combination folder experience
Ability to manage a crew of up to three employees within a fast-paced production schedule
Troubleshoot press and quality-related issues and take appropriate corrective action
Assist the Press Room Manager with departmental duties as needed
Requirements:
Strong mechanical skills
Ability to work well with others while supervising and training crew members
Reliable with consistent attendance and punctuality
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Positive and effective communication skills
Safety and quality minded
Basic computer skills
Available to work overtime when needed
Ability to work with minimal supervision and contribute independently
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Previous print industry experience preferred
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on production needs
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more unassisted
Frequent standing and walking, with occasional stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching
Successful candidates follow directions, ask questions, are energetic, and maintain a positive, can-do attitude
