At SPD Technology, we are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for data ingestion, enrichment, and delivery. The platform supports analytical and operational workloads across multiple internal systems, ensuring consistency, reliability, and observability of data pipelines. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain high‑performance backend services for data ingestion and transformation. Orchestrate and automate data pipelines using streaming and batch processing frameworks. Develop REST and gRPC APIs for unified access to enriched datasets. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define requirements and deliver solutions. Participate in code reviews, unit and integration testing, and continuous integration pipelines. Ensure high standards for security, performance, reliability, and observability. Qualifications
Core technical skills : Java17+, Spring, Kubernetes, OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, cloud‑native environments (AWS/GCP). Experience with streaming and batch processing frameworks (Kafka, Spark, Airflow, etc.). Strong SQL knowledge and data‑modeling experience. Understanding of distributed systems and API design. Excellent collaboration, communication, and ownership skills. Ability to drive technical discussions and make informed architectural decisions. Enthusiasm for mentorship and knowledge sharing.
