A global engineering business operating in the live events and experiences sector is looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer at its Haverhill site. The company designs and manufactures complex mechanical systems and structures for large-scale live events, touring productions, and permanent installations worldwide. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop real design capability on genuinely interesting projects, supported by experienced engineers throughout.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting mechanical design work from concept through to detailed design
Producing and updating engineering drawings and basic bills of materials
Working on assigned assemblies and sub-systems under guidance from senior engineers
Carrying out engineering calculations using hand calculations, Excel, and specialist tools
Supporting design reviews and implementing feedback
Assisting with bid and proposal work where required
Supporting production and project teams during design handover
Updating drawings from red-lines and responding to manufacturing queries
Supporting inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing where required
Learning and following company safety, quality, and design processes
