Outside Sales Representative
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and building long-term relationships within military and aerospace markets. The ideal candidate has experience navigating government bidding platforms and thrives in a fast-paced, technical sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the military, defense, and aerospace sectors, including working with government agencies and prime contractors
- Actively monitor and respond to opportunities on government bidding platforms, including reviewing RFQs/RFPs, preparing compliant quotes, and tracking submission deadlines
- Interpret and analyze technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate product selection, quoting, and order fulfillment
- Develop detailed, accurate proposals that align with government contract requirements, including pricing, lead times, and documentation
- Serve as a technical resource to customers by clearly communicating product capabilities, limitations, and application-specific considerations
- Manage the full sales cycle for government and defense-related accounts, from prospecting and bid submission through order fulfillment and post-sale support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government buyers, procurement officers, and defense contractors
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and product applications
- Collaborate with internal teams to share customer feedback, sales strategies, and market insights
- Conduct annual (or more frequent, based on sales volume) customer visits to maintain strong relationships
- Travel Requirements: 75% national/regional/local
- Education: High School Diploma REQUIRED; relevant higher education preferred
- Experience: 1+ years of military sales experience REQUIRED; Aerospace sales experience highly preferred
- Knowledge: Ability to interpret blueprints REQUIRED
- Software: Experience using sam.gov and other government/military bidding platforms REQUIRED

Pay: $65,000-70,000/year + commission
Type: Full-time, 1st shift, On-site
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 a.m. 4:15 p.m.
