An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to join a long-established British manufacturer in a Junior or Graduate role - depending on experience or qualification etc.
The position would suit either:
A Graduate Engineer looking to begin a career within manufacturing design and / or product development, or
A Production or Design Engineer with some existing CAD / Design experience in AutoCAD or a similar package, looking to further develop their technical and project engineering skills within a supportive environment.
You will work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, compliance teams and commercial stakeholders to develop innovative, practical and manufacturable products.
Key Responsibilities: Design & Development
* Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for new and existing products
* Develop prototypes using 3D printing and other product development techniques
* Support products throughout the full development lifecycle
* Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings and engineering data within the ERP system
* Work with internal departments to ensure smooth product introduction
* Contribute to continuous improvement and product enhancement initiatives
