As a Speech Language Pathologist with IEP Therapy, you will be responsible for evaluating students for speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication disorders; interpreting assessment results; and making eligibility and service recommendations in accordance with federal and state special education regulations. You will write clear assessment reports, contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, and provide input during IEP development to ensure goals and services are educationally relevant and aligned with each student’s needs.
You will plan and deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions within the school setting, integrating curriculum and classroom expectations into your interventions. Responsibilities include maintaining organized documentation, writing progress reports, participating in annual and triennial reviews, and communicating regularly with teachers and families about student performance and strategies for generalization. You will also provide training and support to school staff on communication strategies, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems when appropriate, and classroom accommodations that foster student success.
IEP Therapy offers a supportive, collaborative culture that emphasizes personalized care and professional growth. You will have access to resources for continuing education, mentorship opportunities, and clinical support as you refine your skills and expand your expertise. The environment encourages therapists to share best practices, problem-solve creatively, and advocate for students’ communication needs across the school day.
This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about school-based practice, comfortable managing a caseload of diverse learners, and committed to culturally responsive and family-centered services. Candidates should be confident working independently while also valuing teamwork, open communication, and flexibility in meeting the needs of students and school partners. Strong organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage timelines and compliance requirements are essential.
By joining IEP Therapy, you will have the opportunity to directly influence students’ educational experiences and long-term outcomes. You will help students develop functional communication skills that support academic achievement, participation with peers, and success beyond the classroom, all while continuing to grow as a professional within a mission-driven, education-focused therapy organization.
