About the Role
We are a growing fabrication manufacturer seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a temporary engagement. In this hands-on role, you will partner directly with plant leadership and front-line supervisors to support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can step in quickly, work independently, and make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within BambooHR Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors on HR policies, workplace matters, and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and OSHA Administer leave programs including FMLA, short-term disability, and workers compensation coordination Support benefits administration and
serve
as a liaison with brokers and carriers as needed Assist with performance management processes and manager coaching Maintain and update HR policies, job descriptions, and employee documentation Qualifications
Required
3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment Proficiency with BambooHR is required - hands-on administrative experience expected Working knowledge of federal and Wisconsin employment law Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruiting for hourly production and skilled trades positions Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information Associates or
Bachelors degree in Human Resources
, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience Preferred
PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification Experience in a fabrication or metal manufacturing environment Familiarity with OSHA 300 log maintenance and manufacturing safety programs We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
