divh2Float Phlebotomist II/h2pOur client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Float Phlebotomist II for their Liverpool, NY location./ppResponsibilities:/pulliThe main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations./liliExperience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures./liliProperly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required./liliDemonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles./liliFully understand all of the physicians orders./liliMatches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes./liliLabel, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order./liliCheck all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct./liliStores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen./liliUnderstand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations./liliAttend annual department trainings./liliAnswer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries./li/ulpRequirements:/pulli1 year experience in performing Phlebotomy on all types of patients./liliHard sticks and needles, urine, thyroid testing/liliDetail oriented and good experience./liliComputer skills/liliData Entry and processing/liliHigh School Diploma or GED/li/ulpWhy Should You Apply?/pulliHealth Benefits/liliReferral Program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
