One of our clients in Herndon, VA needs a Database Administrator for a permanent position. Job Description:
Install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) Monitor database performance and perform tuning and optimization Manage database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Ensure data security, integrity, and availability Handle database migrations, upgrades, and patching Troubleshoot database issues and ensure minimal downtime Work with developers to optimize queries and database design Implement data replication, clustering, and high availability solutions Maintain documentation of database configurations and processes Requirements:
Experience with SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL Expertise in SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization Experience with backup & recovery tools Understanding of database security (encryption, access control) Employee Benefits:
