Finance Assistant Permanent role Hybrid working after initial 3 month probation Salary flexible DOE Role Overview The Finance Assistant / Credit Controller will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, managing receivables and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This role is critical in safeguarding cash flow while maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors and internal stakeholders. On average the roll will be split 70:30 finance assistant: credit controller but will vary at times during the year. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting Support Support accounts payable process (posting and approval of invoices and monthly supplier statement reconciliations) Assist with month-end close processes including balance sheet reconciliations Maintain general ledger accuracy Credit Control & Accounts Receivable Manage customer accounts and monitor aged receivables (both Irish and International customers) Proactively chase overdue invoices via phone, email and written communication Allocate incoming payments accurately and promptly Investigate and resolve invoice queries and disputes Key Skills & Experience 5-6 years experience in a finance assistant and credit control role Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industries is highly desirable Strong understanding of accounts receivable and credit control processes Proficiency in accounting systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Skills: Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Credit Control Reconciliations Accounts
