We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Award Care at Sarasota, a leading provider of exceptional resident experiences in skilled nursing and assisted living operations. About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Award Care at Sarasota, you will work collaboratively with our occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, safety, and well-being for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting occupational therapists with patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Implementing and modifying treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and share best practices
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that promotes resident comfort and dignity

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Minimum 0 years of experience in occupational therapy or a related field
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
