Sales Assistant / Inside Counter Sales

Austin, TX $20 - $25 / per hour Full time

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant / Inside Counter Sales Representative for a growing roofing and construction supply company in North Austin. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, construction knowledge, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

The ideal candidate will assist walk-in customers, answer incoming sales inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and help customers find the right products for their projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in customers in the showroom
• Answer incoming sales calls and customer inquiries
• Generate quotes, pricing, and sales orders
• Follow up with customers regarding estimates and orders
• Provide product information and assist with technical questions
• Maintain accurate order details and customer information
• Support the sales team with additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of sales or customer service experience preferred
• Construction or building materials experience preferred
• Roofing industry experience is a plus
• Ability to read a tape measure required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Comfortable learning product knowledge and technical information
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
• Experience using software systems and order entry programs preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
