You will be joining a team of dedicated and passionate healthcare providers striving for nothing less than the best experience for all of our patients who come through the Maternal Child Health Department./ppThe general duties of the Patient Care Assistant include:/pulliProvides excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team/liliAssists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment/liliAssists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician/liliSupports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties/li/ulpRequired education/experience/specialized skills:/pulliOne year of recent experience working under the license of an licensed healthcare provider OR current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school OR current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals/liliMust be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English/liliExcellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude/liliAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider/li/ulpPreferred education/experience/specialized skills/certifications:/pulliCNA certification/liliMultiple patient care skills preferred/liliPreferred one-year acute care experience/li/ulpAt Scripps Health, you will experience the pride, support and respect of an organization that has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nations Top 100 Places to Work.
