Strategic Partnerships Associate

At Flix, we offer a dynamic work environment with competitive pay, strong growth opportunities, and a tech-driven approach to making travel more accessible, sustainable, and affordable.

As a Strategic Partnerships Associate, you will support market expansion by securing access to critical infrastructure, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving operational success in a highly regulated environment. You will develop strategic partnerships with public and private entities, navigate complex government processes, and ensure compliance while establishing access to high-value transportation hubs across Canada.

About the Role
  • Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure bus stop access agreements with private business partners to support and expand network operations
  • Align commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks
  • Develop partnerships with businesses, Canadian transit agencies (e.g., Metrolinx, OC Transpo, Calgary Transit), and property owners to enhance station access and amenities
  • Serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for the company in infrastructure planning forums
  • Coordinate with teams to standardize documentation and refine processes, enabling improved efficiencies
About You
  • 1+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with Canadian government entities at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels
  • 1+ years of project management experience with knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations (e.g., Transport Canada and provincial Ministries of Transportation) and public transit systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience initiating new business relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working proficiency in French is not required, but would be an asset

We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. If you think you could have an impact even though you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We want to hear from you!
