Position Overview:
AVX Defense Technologies is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, systems administration, cloud technologies and ensuring robust security and compliance. Your expertise will be critical in supporting and enhancing our infrastructure and deployment processes. Key Responsibilities: CI/CD Management:
Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab. Ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes. System Management: Administer services and applications, focusing on stability, security, and performance. Monitor system performance, availability, and security, ensuring all updates are completed and functioning optimally. Automate routine tasks using scripting (Python, Go). Cloud & Virtualization:
Develop and manage applications in AWS, Azure and on premises. Infrastructure as Code:
Automate container deployment and management. Security Testing:
Implement Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Reporting:
Create comprehensive reports on code testing coverage, vulnerability analysis, software bill of materials (SBOM), and observability metrics to ensure compliance and quality standards. Automation:
Develop automation scripts to streamline processes and improve deployment efficiency. Qualifications: Citizenship:
U.S. Citizenship required. Experience:
7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). CI/CD Tools:
Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. Systems Administration:
Some experience in system administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning. Virtualization:
Hands-on experience managing virtual machines and containerized applications. Cloud Platforms:
Strong knowledge and experience with Azure and AWS cloud services, including deployment, management, and scaling of applications. Testing:
Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices to ensure software quality. Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with additional cloud platforms or services. Experience with other CI/CD tools or platforms.
