divh2Medical Assistant Opportunity/h2pAscension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants to join our team in the Nashville, TN area./ppThe Medical Assistant provides clinical care to patients in urgent care, occupational health, and workers compensation settings. Responsibilities include initial evaluations, x-ray testing, and preparing patients for provider evaluation by recording histories, vital signs, and documentation while recognizing acuity levels for appropriate intervention./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliGreet patients promptly and provide clear communication about next steps and wait times/liliOffer solutions to patient concerns and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations/liliEnsure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results; execute follow-up calls with urgency/liliSupport front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when needed/liliAccurately document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and other pertinent details/liliAssist with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under provider supervision/liliPrepare and shoot X-Rays, ensuring proper positioning, safety, radiation protection, and shielding/liliComplete all required visit documentation and maintain stocked, clean exam rooms/liliAdhere to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards/liliPerform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained and directed/li/ulpFull-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis./ppWhats required?
