Observes the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects, correctly documents the required information in the residents medication administration records, communicates any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator, or designated personnel. The Medication Aide also supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions./ppScheduled hours are 2:00 PM 10:00 PM and include shifts every other weekend and every other company recognized holiday. Must meet yearly continuing education requirements (15 hours) by completing annual online training and attending monthly staff meetings./ppCritical Success Factors/pulliSuccessful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with the states regulatory requirements and facility requirements./liliMaintains up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations./liliCompassionate and empathetic in all interactions./liliEffective oral and written communication skills./liliSelf-supervising, self-motivating; willing to collaborate and work as a team member./liliAdaptable and flexible; highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands/tasks concurrently./liliDemonstrates problem solving skills./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliPrior direct care experience preferred./liliHigh school diploma or GED./liliMeets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations including CBRF training./li/ulpWe are an equal opportunity employer.
