Job Summary The Coding Compliance Coordinator will perform data‑quality reviews on patient records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines. The primary responsibilities will include serving as a coding liaison to staff and external personnel; providing training and in‑services to coders regarding guidelines, compliance issues and policy changes; performing claim reviews; developing and maintaining policies and procedures; evaluating incomplete or inconsistent documentation in the medical record; and ensuring patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Perform data‑quality reviews on patient records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
Serve as a coding liaison to staff and external personnel.
Provide training and in‑services to coders regarding guidelines, compliance issues and policy changes.
Perform claim reviews.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures.
Evaluate incomplete or inconsistent documentation in the medical record.
Ensure patient confidentiality.

Typing, MS Office
ICD-CM & CPT-4 coding
DRG & APC knowledge
SoftMed, 3M
Required Education AA
Required Experience 5 years
Required Certifications Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Professional (CCP) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
Preferred Education / Experience RHIT, RHIA
