Job Details & Responsibilities The Apprenticeship Program Part‑time Faculty position will be responsible for apprenticeship‑related training courses. The primary responsibility of the apprenticeship instructor is to provide quality teaching in a full range of community college apprenticeship courses, including in‑person and/or remote online instruction, innovative lecture, and lab components.
Essential Functions
Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within the Apprenticeship Program.
Participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives.
Adapt and conform to local industry advisory committee expectations of program proficiencies.
Plan, write, and administer Apprenticeship curricula to adhere to BOLI State‑approved standards and related training requirements, across varied learning environments.
Comply with the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee’s standards and expectations.
Stay current with State and Federal code updates and align curriculum accordingly.
Set up and prepare class/lab materials prior to class to ensure timeliness and student success.
Support student learning through activities that include compliance with college policies, maintaining records, fostering a respectful learning environment, and providing high‑quality instruction.
Develop and revise course content; establish learning outcomes; assess outcomes and use assessment results for improvements.
Incorporate college values, promote multicultural awareness, and facilitate inclusive learning.
Deliver curriculum in traditional and online formats, engage students, monitor progress, provide coaching, and maintain material accessibility per Section 508.

Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience in the related trade.
Associate’s Degree within the Construction Industry (preferred).
Demonstrable, real‑world experience in the limited energy technician trade.
Construction or industrial foreman/supervision experience.
Teaching or construction/industrial‑related experience.
Experience with apprenticeship training programs and standards.
Certifications: Journeyman Card or equivalent BOLI certification.
Commitment to upholding confidentiality, FERPA standards.
Physical Demands/Working Environment
Stand for long periods; use hands to handle tools and objects; bend, twist, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 25 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of learning styles, teaching methods, technology in education.
Commercial and residential construction supervisory skills.
Ability to integrate soft skills and professionalism into curriculum.
Communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Current skills in effective teaching methods and construction technologies.

Analytical thinking, building relationships, change advocacy.
