Job Title:
*Network Security Administrator*
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator to provide critical support for our U.S. Coast Guard program. This position requires residency within a daily commutable distance of Kearneysville, WV, or Alexandria, VA.
*Location: *Kearneysville, WV or Alexandria, VA
*Clearance Level:* Active Secret Required
*Required Qualifications:*
* Experience: A minimum of 3 years of direct, hands-on experience in network administration and security operations.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is highly preferred, OR 3+ years of dedicated experience in lieu of a degree.
* Certification: Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
* Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Operational Environments: Proven experience troubleshooting and administering both classified (SIPR, etc.) and unclassified (NIPR) network environments.
* Core Technology Stack: Hands-on administrative experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center, RSA, and Infoblox DNS/DHCP.
* Security Engineering: Strong background configuring Cisco Firepower Firewalls and managing complex Access Control Lists (ACLs) to enforce network segmentation.
* Mission Support: Proficiency in daily operational tasks, including ticket monitoring, executing daily health checklists, and generating detailed technical reporting.
* Compliance and Maintenance: Demonstrated experience executing network patches and upgrades, ensuring all configurations strictly align with DISA STIG compliance.
* Automation: Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or REST APIs) for network automation and troubleshooting.
* Mission Critical Ops: Previous experience supporting Network Operations Centers (NOCs).
* Specialized Systems: Familiarity with Cross-Domain Solutions (CDSs) and future novel network architectures.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a Network Security Administrator, specializing in the daily operation, maintenance, and security of our network infrastructure across both classified and unclassified environments. This role is critical for ensuring continual operations and protecting high-value assets within large-scale U.S. Coast Guard enterprise environments. You will be responsible for network stability, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining strict compliance protocols.
*Infrastructure & Security Administration*
* Administer and support core network and security platforms, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst Center, and Cisco Firepower Firewalls.
* Manage and configure Access Control Lists (ACLs) to ensure proper network segmentation and strict access enforcement.
* Maintain and monitor Infoblox DNS/DHCP services to ensure high availability and proper IP address management.
* Administer RSA solutions to support secure authentication across enterprise network domains.
* Daily Operations & Ticket Monitoring
* Execute detailed daily checklists to proactively monitor server health, event logs, performance counters, and overall network stability.
* Conduct continuous ticket monitoring, triaging, and troubleshooting network/systems issues for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
* Perform problem resolutions on classified (SIPR, etc.) and unclassified (NIPR) networks, escalating to appropriate service support groups as needed.
* Generate regular operational and security reporting to document steps taken, network health, and incident resolutions.
*Maintenance & Compliance Support*
* Execute routine patches and upgrades across network devices and security systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
* Ensure all network infrastructure strictly aligns with DoD Comply to Connect policies and DISA STIG compliance.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conform to NIST MilCloud standards as appropriate.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
