Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare food items that go along with current menu.
* Will be expected to know their way around all aspects of the kitchen.
* Assumes responsibility for quality of products served and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
* Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, making sure all side duties and daily cleaning jobs are completed.
Qualifications and skills
* Recent and verifiable previous experience in the restaurant industry as a line/prep cook
* Must be able to work well with others to help create a friendly work environment.
* Need to be able to stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 50LBS.
* Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy environment.
* Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Education - Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent. Culinary school graduate is an asset.
Requirements
* Food Safe Level 1
* Valid driver’s license or dependable transportation to from work.
* W.H.M.I.S and First Aid (OFA Level 1) are assets.
