In this role, you will manage AWS, GCP, and other cloud infrastructure; plan and deploy monitoring and observability mechanisms and policies; put in place best practices on all infrastructure concerns; develop existing and new tooling in Rust for an internal platform of simulation and testing. This position reports to the Engineering Manager of the Platform Team.
Success looks like…
Developing Keramik to the point where it can run all end-to-end test scenarios needed to support the platform.
Creating key testing and setting production observability to increase productivity of developers.
Getting intimately familiar with running ceramic-one, js-ceramic, and other upcoming projects; setting them up to maintain our goals of 99.99% uptime.
Participating in everyday maintenance of the 3Box, including the on-call rotation, managing cloud & bare metal infrastructure, forecasting and managing costs.
You're likely a good fit if you have…
5+ years of relevant experience with GCP, AWS, ideally managing them through Terraform.
Experience with monitoring and observability, bonus points for experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog.
Some experience with Rust; OR another systems programming language AND a desire to learn Rust.
Experience with “4 9s” level reliability (99.99% uptime).
Experience building out internal infrastructure products.
Salary range: $182k - $212k depending on seniority and location.
