Nationwide healthcare organization is seeking an outside Business Development Associate to join their team. This is a remote role with a minimum of 50% travel. This position focuses on developing a strong pipeline and delivering viable leads that convert into proposal opportunities.

Conduct high-volume, in-person prospecting visits to hospitals, clinics, and physician practices on a consistent cadence to identify needs and secure introductory meetings.
Build relationships with healthcare organizations, professional associations, advocacy groups, and community health entities to open doors and create engagement opportunities.
Effectively secure next steps by scheduling and confirming initial meetings; transition qualified opportunities to senior business development leaders for advancement to proposal stage.
Meet or exceed monthly targets for new meetings and qualified opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to develop outreach materials and optimize visit strategies.
Continuously refine messaging and engagement approach to increase receptivity and interest among prospective partners.
Build and maintain strong brand awareness within assigned territories.
Ensure outreach cadence, messaging, and conduct align with brand standards and professional expectations.
Develop a strong understanding of women’s health service lines, hospital organizational structures, and relevant regulatory and market dynamics.
Proactively build knowledge of the organization’s service offerings, value proposition, and competitive landscape.
II. Essential Skills, Credentials & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
High energy and strong drive to succeed in a field-based sales environment.
Experience with high-volume, in-person prospecting or cold outreach.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, persistent, and results-driven.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain professional partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to overcome objections and generate qualified leads.
Comfort with live, in-person pitching and the ability to think quickly and adapt messaging.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Creative and adaptable approach to outreach strategy.
Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Outlook.
III. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in business development, field sales, or a related role, preferably within healthcare services.
IV. Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA Guidelines)
Extended periods of sitting (more than 66% of the workday).
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 75% travel within assigned territory.
