Controller , you'll ensure the financial foundation that makes this possible—overseeing accounting operations, reporting, and compliance while driving strategic planning, resource optimization, and sustainable growth. You’ll manage budgets, forecasts, and audits, implement internal controls, and partner closely with leadership and the board to guide data‑driven decisions that strengthen both our fiscal health and mission impact. You’ll also lead initiatives that integrate AI automation to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy across financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, invoicing, and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Prepare and review GAAP‑compliant financial statements, budgets, and reports to guide strategic decision‑making
Lead revenue cycle management (RCM) to ensure timely billing, collections, and payer alignment
Lead the evaluation and implementation of automation and AI‑driven financial tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across accounting and reporting functions
Track financial performance, resolve variances, and identify cost‑saving opportunities
Work closely with the executive team, clinical and operations leaders, and the board of directors to align accounting practices with organizational goals
Provide financial insights and forecasting to support planning, resource allocation, and risk management
Manage vendor relationships, audits, and internal controls to maintain compliance and fiscal accountability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA required
15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a fast‑paced, high‑growth organization
Healthcare or behavioral health experience required, including insurance claims, invoicing, and payer model familiarity
Highly proficient in ERP and accounting systems, including QuickBooks, EHR and RCM platforms, and AI‑driven automation tools
Demonstrated success advising executive leadership and the board of directors on financial performance, risk management, and strategic decision‑making
Deep understanding of GAAP, audit, and internal controls, with proven experience designing scalable financial processes
Willingness to travel to our Denver, Colorado office for quarterly board meetings
