Primary Responsibilities
Perform all month end closing processes including but not limited to recording journal entries, variance analysis, and ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
Assist in the integrity of the accounting policies and overall financial statements including the review of accounts for discrepancies and reconciling differences.
Collaborate within the accounting team and with cross‑functional teams to ensure proper accounting is in place for various transactions and entries such as accruals, reserves, prepaid positions, fixed assets, and right‑of‑use assets.
Conduct monthly reconciliations on various types of accounts such as inventory, freight, bad debt, rebates and taxes.
Support in preparing schedules, requests, and information to support internal and external audits.
Prepare intercompany reconciliations, cross charges, and elimination entries.
Responsible for running trial balance and conducting analysis to ensure GL accounts are accurate and complete during close.
Support cash management – working with bank and assisting in forecasting cash positions.
Solid working knowledge of accounting principles in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Supporting the training and onboarding of new hires within the team and documenting processes.
Manage sales tax certificates within SOVOS and tax account reconciliations.
Ensure fixed assets are properly accounted for in accounting system including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
Experience with establishing, writing, or documenting policies and improving processes.
Assume day‑to‑day accounting operations duties including validating proper coding and determining appropriate accounting treatment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Familiarity with basic business principles, corporate structures, accounting standards, and financial statements.
Ability to review and interpret general ledger accounts.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business field with 3‑5 years’ experience.
MBA or MA in Accounting, CMA or CPA preferred.
Proficient in Excel and Word, ERP experience.

Salary Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
