We’re looking for a motivated and customer focused individual to grow a career in sales as our founding Business Development Representative. In this role you will generate new business by prospecting leads through a mix of cold outreach and nurture, while collaborating across our sales organization to set high-value meetings. Responsibilities
Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn to identify potential customers. Research target accounts, develop a deep understanding of their needs and challenges, and build a tailored outreach plan. Qualify inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns and assess their fit to our product. Partner closely with our Directors of BD to source meetings that drive pipeline and closed revenue. Maintain accurate records of prospecting and sales activity in our CRM. Demonstrate curiosity about customer pain points and stay up to date on industry trends and competitive landscape. Engage decision-makers and educate them on the value of our products. Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation. Qualifications
Go-getter background in business development: pipeline generation, cold calling, and sourcing meetings. Motivated to drive revenue growth through outbound prospecting, engaging inbound leads, and re-engaging nurture leads. First point of contact for potential customers, learn needs, educate, and set meetings for BD Directors. Bonus: experience engaging finance leaders such as Controllers and CFOs. Preferred Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of work experience required; 1+ years of relevant experience in business development preferred. Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding goals. Comfort navigating change and ambiguity in an early‑stage startup. Growth mindset focused on solutions and always seeking to learn and improve. Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work well independently and remotely with teams. Experience in FP&A Software and Life Sciences is a plus.
