Join Strategic Solution Partners (SSP) as a full-time Controller within the SSP organization and play a critical role in maximizing the return on financial assets and revenue optimization. Their oversight of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems will ensure the ongoing evolution of the financial support team aligns with the evolving business requirements. This position reports directly to the CEO of SSP.
Job Summary The
Controller
is the organization’s financial steward and operational partner, responsible for translating financial data into business decisions, ensuring fiscal control, and supporting predictable, scalable growth. They act as both a
controller
(accuracy, compliance, reporting) and a
strategic operator
(planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling).
Additionally, this position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
Lastly, this position must retain a high level of integrity, trust, and confidentiality in alignment with our Mission, Vision and Values.
Job Responsibilities

Management of the entire Finance Department within SSP.
Financial Planning & Strategy
Accounting Oversight & Controls – owns the full accounting cycle
Revenue Cycle & Operations Finance
Monitors Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Technology, Reporting & Data – owns the financial tech stack
Qualifications
Staffing Industry Experience a must
10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
Leadership/department-head level experience is necessary.
Direct experience with all aspects of accounting, payroll and consulting
Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred but not necessary
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with review and analytics of financial statements.
Experience/excellent knowledge of financial reporting functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Demonstration of systems/business acumen relative to scope of work
Creative and innovative problem solver
Ability to adapt quickly and perform under high expectations.
Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure
Ability to meet deadlines and embrace ongoing change
Requires excellent organization, time management, interpersonal skills.
Must be an ambitious self-starter with a desire to learn
