CancerNavigator is an early‑stage healthcare company (headquartered in Washington, D.C.) dedicated to supporting cancer patients in their hour of need. Cancer is the number one cause of death for commercially insured Americans and the top cost driver for health plans. Cancer patients often struggle to understand their condition and options, to find well equipped care, and to manage numerous burdens. CancerNavigator is a white‑glove, end‑to‑end cancer support service that works with health plans to provide 1‑to‑1 support to members facing a cancer diagnosis, delivered by dedicated Oncology Certified Nurses who catch cancer early, connect patients to expert care, and help them through other problems.
We have a strong client base and are looking for top talent to accelerate growth in the Taft‑Hartley, public sector, and employer markets.
The Growth Associate Role Responsibilities
Finding and engaging new potential partners: source prospects, design and execute growth strategies, and conduct outreach.
Building relationships and leading early‑stage conversations: introduce prospects to our work, qualifying leads.
Supporting broader growth strategy: help design and support events, speaking engagements, and conferences.
Structure You will work closely with one or more seasoned Sales Leads to design and execute a territory‑based sales strategy, meet outreach targets, cultivate the market, and generate Sales Qualified Leads for the Sales Lead. You report to the Chief Growth Officer and collaborate daily with the Sales Lead(s).
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate has a track record of success in outreach and early‑stage sales development, preferably with a healthcare point solution and in the Taft‑Hartley, public sector, or employer markets. Existing relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem (trustees, administrators, carriers, TPAs, consultants, etc.) are highly valued. Experience selling into Taft‑Hartley, public sector, employer, and health plans is a plus. Cancer domain expertise is not required.
Results Expected Clear weekly, monthly, and annual targets are set. You consult with Sales Lead(s) to design strategies to meet or exceed targets while having latitude and autonomy in execution.
Requirements We seek a go‑getter who is mature beyond their years and can be the first point of contact for prospects, representing the CancerNavigator brand with high EQ, self‑awareness, humility, entrepreneurial agility, flexibility, grit, and scrappiness.
Specific Requirements
1‑5 years of growth experience in health benefits sales (employers, unions, or public sector groups)
Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills (tested in interview)
Ability to move quickly and operate independently
Huge ambition and drive
Willingness to travel one or more times a month
