The Role We're looking for a motivated Account Executive to help grow PlayerZero's customer base. You'll engage engineering leaders, support managers, and QA teams who are drowning in tickets, struggling to reproduce issues, or looking to shift-left with AI-powered testing. This is a high-impact role where you'll directly drive revenue and shape how we bring our simulation and support automation capabilities to market.
Responsibilities
Prospecting & Pipeline Generation: Identify and engage potential customers through outbound efforts, inbound lead follow-up, and networking at industry events
Discovery & Qualification: Conduct discovery calls to uncover pain points around issue reproduction, ticket overload, testing gaps, and support team efficiency
Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling demos showcasing PlayerZero's simulation engine, AI scenario generation, and ticket clustering capabilities
Deal Management: Own the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and close
Stakeholder Navigation: Build relationships across engineering, QA, support, and product teams—anyone impacted by software quality and customer-reported issues
Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to relay customer feedback and ensure smooth implementation
CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasting in our CRM
Market Intelligence: Stay current on trends in AI testing, support automation, and developer productivity tools
Requirements
5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably selling to technical or support-adjacent buyers
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota
Understanding of—or genuine curiosity about—software testing, QA workflows, support operations, or AI/automation tools
Excellent communication skills: ability to translate technical value into business outcomes
Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
Experience with consultative/solution selling methodologies (MEDDIC, Command of the Message, Challenger, etc.)
Nice to Have
Experience selling to QA, support, or engineering teams
Background in support operations, QA, or customer success
Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk), testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), IDEs (Cursor, CoPilot, Windsurf)
Understanding of AI/ML applications in software development or support
Existing network within engineering leadership or support communities
