We'll be asking for portfolios alongside applications , we want to see what you've built and how you think about craft. ____________________________________________________________________________ As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you'll own the React + Vite applications powering our contributor marketplace and internal ops platform. You'll lead architectural decisions, set the bar for UX correctness and accessibility, and mentor junior engineers as we scale the platform that thousands of experts engage with daily. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll balance shipping product, designing systems for the long term, and shaping how our team approaches front-end engineering. What You'll Work On Build multi-step forms, typeahead/combobox components, and data-rich admin interfaces in React Implement accessible UI following WAI-ARIA combobox/listbox patterns, keyboard navigation (ArrowDown, Home, End, Enter, Escape), and proper focus management Lead the apply form experience: location-aware applications, draft persistence, intent-preservation through signup/onboarding flows Own Vite-based builds and environment configuration across the stack Lead PR review with a focus on UX correctness, accessibility, and rendering edge cases Shape the design token system and component architecture as we scale What We're Looking For 4+ years of React experience: hooks, controlled/uncontrolled components, refs, useEffect dependency array subtleties Deep understanding of React's rendering model — when useMemo helps, when it doesn't, and why stale closures cause bugs Experience working with inline styles backed by a shared design token system (not Tailwind or CSS modules) Strong testing discipline with vitest: user interactions, rendering assertions, API call mocks Track record of leading projects end-to-end and making sound architectural decisions Strong product and design sensibility
