Software Engineer I Database Focus
with
4-6 years of experience
to join our engineering team. This role is primarily focused on developing and maintaining database-driven components that support Tangoe's enterprise platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
Oracle and PL/SQL
(preferred). Candidates with a
PostgreSQL background
are also welcome if they are adaptable to Oracle environments.
This position involves working on
enhancements and maintenance of existing and heritage products , requiring the ability to understand complex codebases, contribute improvements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Curiosity, analytical thinking, and professional maturity are key traits for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance database components using
Oracle and PL/SQL .
Work on enhancements and maintenance of
existing enterprise products
and
established systems .
Analyze existing database structures, stored procedures, and queries to support application improvements.
Apply database
performance tuning concepts
and collaborate with
DBAs
to address performance issues.
Understand and work within existing codebases to implement changes while maintaining system stability.
Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and support production environments when required.
Follow
coding standards, documentation practices and software development processes? .
Collaborate effectively em sql? ( engineering, product management, QA, and operations teams )
