Import Export Manager (Remote, United States) We are currently seeking an ambitious pace‑setter to join our team as a Import Export Manager.
Compensation $80,000–$90,000 per year.
Role Commitments
Develop & execute new audit valuation process for compliance & clearance.
Develop & execute best‑in‑class reconciliation process and start executing post entries flagged for recon.
HTS classification reviewed and database updated, and executed.
Custom broker partner RFP for best‑in‑class performance and partnership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance: develop and manage processes and manuals to meet U.S. and international trade laws, and lead a compliance committee team.
Lead the Team: supervise trade compliance and brokerage operations.
Navigate Regulations: keep apprised of developments in international trade laws, including updates to duties, tariffs and applicable trade agreements.
Solve Problems: work with customs officials, shippers and internal teams to resolve issues.
Manage Documentation: oversee accurate and timely trade filings, internal document storage, KPI dashboards, and SOPs.
Optimize Processes: enhance trade workflows, risk management, and compliance manuals.
Post Entry Solutions: support post‑summary audits and execute PSC and reconciliation filings.
Classify Imports: determine the correct Harmonized Tariff classification and maintain the centralized HTS database.
Origin Reviews: direct Country of Origin reviews and ensure compliance with trade agreements.
Education & Experience Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in import/export, customs compliance, or trade management.
Experience with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP.
Deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws (ITAR, EAR, HTS).
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in customs/trade compliance.
ERP experience.
Knowledge of cross‑border trade, specifically U.S.‑Mexico and Canada.
