Über
Penn Foster’s Financial Planning & Analysis team provides quantitative, analytical support for business decision-making. Members act as ambassadors to business leaders, linking strategic and operational planning. The Senior Financial Analyst, a key FP&A team member, will have high visibility with senior management and contribute to financial management. Responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, establishing financial plans, supporting business decisions, partnering cross-functionally, and enhancing FP&A tools and processes. We seek a bright, high-energy individual eager to make an immediate impact.
Essential Job Functions:
Partner with executives and department leads to create annual budgets and reforecasts.
Collaborate with the VP and Director of FP&A on implementing scalable budgeting and forecasting tools.
Develop dashboards and analytical tools for measuring financial performance and providing insights.
Perform variance analysis of actual results versus budget to identify risks and opportunities.
Ensure the integrity of FP&A data and manage reporting improvements.
Participate in financial modeling for strategic projections.
Create and analyze product line performance and profitability trends.
Perform other ad hoc analyses as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
CPA / MBA preferred.
5+ years of relevant financial or FP&A experience.
2+ years of financial modeling experience.
Proficiency in Excel required.
Knowledge of FP&A reporting platforms a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Familiarity with D365 or other ERP platforms a plus.
