Daly is an unconventional comms+ agency for exceptional companies who are at the intersection of culture + community. We reach far beyond the standard PR playbook to make a sustained impact (plus, some magic) with our clients—who range from media companies, to tech startups, wellness brands, design studios, and everything in between. Select past & current clients include: Substack, Yahoo, Acorns, Tinder, Pentagram, Penguin Random House, the Brooklyn Museum, and more. Our team comes from a wide range of professional backgrounds including film, publishing, social media, and journalism—which means we understand what makes a good story, a good pitch, and good comms. And in today’s world of saturated media, that makes all the difference! About the role Daly is seeking a Communications Manager who has proven experience with both independently leading and offering hands‑on, strategic support on a range of client accounts. The ideal candidate will be media‑obsessed, proactive, strategic, and organized, with a strong attention to detail. Serve as the
Client Lead on 2 - 3 accounts
across a range of industries & categories, with a high level of independence, and an eye towards proactive problem‑solving, strategic pivoting, sharp client intuition. This includes leading all client‑facing meetings, managing client correspondence, developing & executing media strategies, writing & editing pitches, and pitching media directly, with support from a dedicated account team. Serve as a
strategic Client Support on 1 - 2 additional accounts
led by a senior Daly employee. This type of support will be more strategy‑driven and proactive, in contrast with the account team’s additional junior / admin support. Exhibit strong pitching skills, self‑project‑managing follow ups, and maintaining a keen eye for media worthy topics and trends. Exhibit strong project management skills through clear written and verbal communication with their designated client support, clear communication with and accountability with one’s Manager for any issues or questions, and robust use and upkeep of Daly’s project management tools. Maintain and grow key cross‑industry media contacts to further expand Daly’s media rolodex through frequent communication and interfacing, online and offline. Serve as the dedicated Project Lead or Support on 1-2 company‑focused (non‑client) projects, as needed. 6+ years of PR / comms industry experience:
agency experience preferred, but in‑house experience also accepted Proven track record of media relations Experience and comfortability with direct client communication, including experience with independently leading at least one previous client account Ability to work both collaboratively and independently Strong project management skills and attention to detail Experience and openness to working in a fully remote capacity Comfortable working across a range of categories / industries The salary range for this role is between $85,000—$99,500, pending the candidate’s exact experience in relation to the range of essential functions associated with the role. Employee-sponsored Health, Dental, and Vision insurance A
biannual profit sharing program
for all full time employees, in which employees receive payouts that directly correlate to a percentage of the company’s net profits. An
annual $1,700 lifestyle & wellness stipend Participation in Daly’s
shortened, 32-hour work week
(we call this “Slow Down Time”) including late starts each Monday and early dismissals each Friday. A monthly
$150 coworking pass stipend
, plus a one‑time home office setup stipend A suite of PTO benefits that includes: 16 paid vacation days in your first year of employment, which increases annually with tenure Quarterly flex PTO days (4 total additional PTO days per year) 14 paid annual company holidays 1 flexible “work from any time zone” week per year An annually‑updated growth paths & compensation doc that creates full‑company transparency around the salary ranges and essential functions at every level of the business. Company‑wide programs supporting pro bono comms work, an annual donations fund, and land tax payments tied to profit share payouts. Paid parental leave Full coverage of professional development courses & resources, upon request.
