$86,400 - $129,600 per year , which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range applies to candidates located within the United States. Additional pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and education. Responsibilities
Create engineering design and drawing sets for power monitoring and control systems.
Consult with internal & external stakeholders to determine system operation requirements.
Assist in the design of electrical control panels.
Specify and procure hardware/software as required by project.
Occasional need for project start‑up services, troubleshooting and training for commissioned systems.
Occasional need for programming of PLC applications and HMI interfaces.
Travel up to 15% to customer sites occasionally required; the majority of travel is domestic with occasional international opportunities.
Requirements
BS in electrical engineering.
Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware.
Working knowledge of industry‑standard communication protocols such as ModbusTCP and/or BacNet.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team oriented, self‑motivated, and results driven.
Permanent resident or U.S. citizenship required. This position may sometimes require presence at customer sites; therefore, candidate must be able to obtain necessary clearance including but not limited to Homeland Security clearance, background and credit checks.
Travel up to 15% to customer sites may be required.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with industry‑standard communication protocols such as Modbus, ModbusTCP, and BacNet.
Experience with integrating devices from multiple vendors into packaged solutions (system integration).
Experience with low and medium voltage switchgear.
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience is not required but is a plus.
HMI configuration experience not required but beneficial, including graphical screen development.
Experience in the field of emergency power generation and distribution, including switchgear control applications and generator control applications.
Knowledgeable in computer programming languages (VB, C#, C++, JavaScript), database design (SQL), HTML development.
