Responsibilities
Shaping the long‑term vision for security engineering platforms and collaborating with assurance and operations leaders to drive a unified strategy
Developing and implementing innovative distributed software platforms to enhance security for Zscaler's engineers and hybrid cloud infrastructure
Driving the adoption and integration of owned platforms with internal stakeholders in engineering, IT, legal and compliance
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years of experience of development at scale on public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
5+ years in IAM, Data Security, Network Security, Cloud/Container Security, App Security, and Vulnerability Management
Over 5 years of leadership experience managing remote teams of 10+, driving growth in Agile, cross‑functional environments
Experienced in distributed systems and data engineering, specializing in designing, developing, and managing scalable backend infrastructures and data‑driven platforms
Skilled in schema design, messaging systems, storage, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics, and BI tools
Preferred Qualifications
Proven expertise in designing and operating scalable, autonomous, and self‑recoverable applications handling millions of endpoints and billions of transactions per second
Proven expertise in technical strategy, system design, and guiding architecture with proficiency in Java, Python, Golang, or Rust
Proficient in secure application development, including SDLC, authentication/authorization, secure data management, and addressing security defects
