Helps make sure patients and families get the care they need when they need it./liliConsistently and openly communicates with supervisor and all staff./liliWorks flexible or extended hours where necessary./liliParticipates in health center in-services and meeting, listening and respecting others ideas./liliAbides by Rules of Confidentiality./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pstrong EDUCATION: /strong/pulliHigh School graduate or GED/liliCompleted training program in Medical Assisting from Accredited College/li/ulpstrong LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: /strong/pulliPossess a valid CPR certificate/liliPossess a valid drivers license/li/ulpstrong PRIOR EXPERIENCE: /strong/pulli2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred./li/ulpstrong SKILLS: /strong/pulliBilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required./liliAble to quickly build and maintain rapport with patients and providers of differing backgrounds; team player/liliCustomer-service oriented/liliStrong computer skills/liliFamiliar with adult learning and general training techniques/liliPositive professional insight/liliFlexibility and dependability/liliDemonstrated good problem-solving skills; sound judgment/liliEffective leadership/supervisory skills/liliModern office practices and procedures including email/liliIntermediate computer skills/liliAttention to detail and excellent follow-through on work tasks/liliAble to handle multiple tasks simultaneously/li/ulpstrong PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: /strong/pulliMust be able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels)./liliMust be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff./liliMust be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents./liliMust have high manual dexterity./liliMust be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn./li/ulpThe hourly wage range that UHC reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire starts at $21 an hour.
