Payroll Implementation Consultants are responsible for the support, training, best practice coaching, and implementation process for NEOGOV customers. In this position, you will work with a team of highly skilled consultants, managers, developers, and subject matter experts. You will be supporting multiple HRIS customers implementing a variety of NEOGOV HRIS products in tandem with NEOGOV Payroll Module. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
What You Will Do
Learn, understand and execute NEOGOV’s Implementation & Configuration practices.
Become an SME of NEOGOV Payroll module.
Gather business requirements and build consensus around business processes and design while maintaining a best practice approach.
Configure the NEOGOV solutions, demonstrate the configurations through building prototype systems, testing and best practices guidance.
Partner with internal and external partners to ensure cross-functional needs are met; develop and convey a clear understanding of the unique needs to various audiences.
Identify and implement system improvement and process improvement opportunities in NEOGOV HRIS suite (HR, Payroll, Time/Attendance).
Maintain and monitor project plans, issues logs, status reports, and other project risk factors.
Execute daily operations for assigned implementations, including project plans, schedules, time tracking, case and phone routing, health check delivery, etc.
Execute support, deployments (implementations) and best practice coaching for small‑mid size customers.
Track support level and customer satisfaction metrics; ensure the support SLA’s are being achieved and exceeded; identify opportunities to improve metrics and team efficiencies.
Conduct quality & product usage checks to ensure customer & product satisfaction expectations are being satisfied for customers and that a high level of service is being delivered.
Serve as a coach, mentor, knowledge resource, and escalation point for customers and support representatives.
Participating in annual training, NEOGOV’s Annual Conference, industry events, and face‑to‑face customer meetings (Travel – 10%).
Who You Are

A self‑starter
What You Have
3+ years of experience in HRIS Payroll Software Implementation
3+ years of experience supporting clients and their payroll processes including configuration, processing, taxes, and year‑end reporting
Proficient knowledge in payroll including standard processes, concepts, state and federal requirements
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Specialist (CPS), or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
General understanding of Multi‑state reciprocity
Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering
Working knowledge of the public sector is preferred, but not required
Ability to perform well in a 100% remote/virtual workspace
