OPEXEngine is seeking an experienced and high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) to lead pipeline generation efforts and accelerate our sales motion. As an integral member of our sales team, you will work directly with our Head of Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership to drive qualified opportunities with target accounts. This role is ideal for a seasoned business development professional who excels at multi-threaded outreach into SaaS accounts, can navigate complex organizational structures, and is ready to take on greater ownership of outreach strategy, messaging, and sales motion. You'll be instrumental in refining our outbound playbook while directly contributing to OPEXEngine's continued growth. Key job responsibilities
Own and execute multi-touch outreach campaigns into target accounts across multiple personas (CFOs, VPs of Finance, PE and growth fund investors) Lead discovery conversations and book qualified meetings with senior decision-makers Accelerate opportunities by uncovering customer challenges and strategic priorities while tying them to OPEXEngine’s unique value proposition Build and manage a healthy pipeline of SaaS and Investor accounts through disciplined, data-driven prospecting Collaborate cross-functionally to help refine communication strategies, buyer personas, and target account segmentations Maintain exceptional pipeline hygiene and activity tracking in CRM (HubSpot) Personal qualities to succeed in the role
You have a growth mindset and strive to exceed expectations You are strategic and thoughtful in your approach to prospecting, using strong communication skills to balance volume with personalization and relevance You are comfortable engaging with senior executives and can establish credibility through meaningful, value-driven conversations You take ownership of outcomes, demonstrate strong initiative, and thrive in environments that reward autonomy and direct business impact You embrace feedback, collaboration, and experimentation as ways to continuously improve 1–3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in B2B SaaS or data/analytics Proven track record of exceeding pipeline and meeting quotas in a high-growth environment Experience prospecting into finance, corporate strategy, or investor/PE personas strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and engage senior stakeholders (Director level and above) Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, personalized messages U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, sales commissions, 401(k) plan with employer contribution, and OPEXEngine’s benefits package. Some local governments in the United States require a good‑faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized on‑target earnings (OTE) for this role is $80k-90k OTE reflects expected earnings at target performance; actual earnings may vary based on individual and company performance. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
