For our client, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Consultant 2 - Nuclear to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will lead initiatives at the intersection of scalable technology, AI-enabled capabilities, and business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and long-term innovation within an Energy & Utilities environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $142,710 – $215,440 annually
Responsibilities
Oversee project execution and coordinate discipline-specific resources as needed
Take full ownership of project performance across safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client satisfaction
Direct the project team to ensure accountability and provide mentorship
Establish and maintain positive relationships with client engineers and stakeholders
Lead project efforts to ensure completion meets safety, timelines, and budgetary constraints
Support reporting on key performance metrics for schedules and budgets
Identify and mitigate construction risks
Qualifications
BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program with coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfers
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
10+ years in a technical field (engineering, construction, planning, etc.)5+ years serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities is critical to success
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in schedule and budget management
