What You'll Do

As a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) in our facility staffing team, you'll provide direct care and emotional support to residents in contracted care facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal care needs: bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, mobility, and toileting

• Supporting dietary needs: serving meals, assisting with feeding, monitoring intake

• Light housekeeping: laundry, bedding changes, maintaining clean living spaces

• Offering companionship: engaging residents in activities, conversation, and recreation

• Observing and reporting changes in residents' health or behavior to facility staff

• Following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation

• Upholding facility safety and infection control standards

What You'll Bring

• Required: Maine PSS certification and at least 6 months of caregiving experience

• Experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with mobility and transfers (including use of equipment like Hoyer lifts)

• Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and reliability

• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

• Willingness to travel within assigned territory and meet health/safety requirements (TB, immunizations, etc.)
