What You'll Do
As a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) in our facility staffing team, you'll provide direct care and emotional support to residents in contracted care facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with personal care needs: bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, mobility, and toileting

Supporting dietary needs: serving meals, assisting with feeding, monitoring intake

Light housekeeping: laundry, bedding changes, maintaining clean living spaces

Offering companionship: engaging residents in activities, conversation, and recreation

Observing and reporting changes in residents' health or behavior to facility staff

Following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation

Upholding facility safety and infection control standards
What You'll Bring

Required: Maine PSS certification and at least 6 months of caregiving experience
-
Experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred
-
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with mobility and transfers (including use of equipment like Hoyer lifts)

Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and reliability

Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
-
Willingness to travel within assigned territory and meet health/safety requirements (TB, immunizations, etc.)
