Job Title
Under minimal direction of supervisor or subject matter experts, this position is responsible for developing and executing manual functional tests for new or modified applications/systems in collaboration with other cross functional team members. Models’ ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with the customer's core values, ethics, and information protection policies. Create, modify and execute manual functional test cases and test plans for applications with high quality as per requirement/functional specifications. Seek requirement clarifications to adequately cover test conditions. Clearly document bugs or defects with relevant information. Collaborate with Dev and other team members in retesting and defect closure. Provide clear and concise status of assigned tasks for test reports covering the results of testing activities. Assist in creating/maintaining test data in test environments to satisfy the test conditions. Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile software delivery framework. Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well within a cross functional team building relationships in order to collaborate and deliver working software. Service-oriented, self-motivated, with keen attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and set priorities. Knowledge of Automation or Performance QA tools like QTP, Load Runner. Knowledge of API testing tools like Soap UI. Knowledge of database concepts including creating, modifying and executing SQL queries. Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance industry. 4 or more years of experience in enterprise-level software testing with web-based applications in a large scale, relational database environment, to include 2 or more years’ experience in implementing and using a variety of quality assurance methodologies. High School Diploma | GED (required) Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years
