This is a structured, performance-based pathway toward agency ownership with Farmers Insurance. Associates will train and operate out of the District Office, receive mentorship from a Presidents Council team, and gain hands-on experience in sales, operations, and client management. The ultimate goal is to develop the skills, production track record, and business acumen required to open and successfully operate your own Farmers agency.

Key Responsibilities


Work assigned leads and generate new business opportunities


Conduct insurance reviews and provide tailored coverage solutions


Learn and utilize Farmers systems, CRM tools, and quoting platforms


Shadow and train with top-performing agents and district leadership


Develop marketing and community networking strategies


Build and maintain a growing personal book of business


Meet performance and activity benchmarks aligned with agency readiness


Training & Development


Associates will:


Train in-office within the District Office environment


Receive structured mentorship from high-performing Presidents Council agents


Learn lead management, appointment setting, objection handling, and closing strategies


Understand underwriting guidelines and compliance standards


Gain exposure to agency financials, staffing models, and growth strategies


Ideal Candidate Profile


Entrepreneurial and business-minded


Self-motivated and goal-oriented


Comfortable working in a commission-driven environment


Strong communication and relationship-building skills


Coachable and growth-driven


Interested in long-term business ownership and equity building


Insurance experience is not required. Licensing will be required prior to selling products (training guidance provided).


Compensation & Ownership Path


Performance-based commissions


Enhanced commission program (3 years, starting at 300% above normal commissions)
